1. Who is responsible for your data
IBRIDGEX, operator of ibridgex.net, is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: [email protected].
2. The short version
- We ask for an email address so we can send you your licence key. That is the only piece of data we need from you.
- Your licence is tied to the devices you activate it on, so we keep an identifier for each one.
- We never see your card details. Payments are handled by Paddle.
- IEbridge does not track your browsing. The pages you open in Internet Explorer mode stay on your computer and are never sent to us. Your rules and settings also stay on your computer, unless an administrator turns on Sync Options to push them to the devices on a licence.
- There are no advertising cookies, no third-party analytics and no trackers on this website. We do not sell or rent personal data.
3. What we collect and why
| Data | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Deliver the licence key, send renewal and expiry notices, answer support, let you recover your licence. | Performance of the contract |
| Licence key (stored only as a cryptographic hash) | Validate activations without holding the key itself. | Performance of the contract |
| Device identifier, and the device name, user name and department when your IT department configures them | Enforce the number of devices your licence covers and let you see and release seats from your licence panel. | Performance of the contract / legitimate interest in preventing licence abuse |
| Configuration profiles created in the licence panel: the profile name, the options it sets, the Internet Explorer mode URL patterns it contains, and which device each profile is assigned to | Deliver your administrator's settings to the devices on your licence when Sync Options is turned on. Only created if someone with access to your licence panel chooses to use this feature. | Performance of the contract |
| Activation date, last-seen date, trial start and expiry, interface language | Run the trial and the subscription, and show messages in your language. | Performance of the contract |
| Order identifier and subscription status received from Paddle | Issue, renew and cancel the licence that matches your payment. | Performance of the contract |
| Technical request data, including IP address, used transiently for rate limiting | Protect the licence servers from brute force and abuse. | Legitimate interest in security |
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not ask for your name, address or telephone number. Any billing details you give at checkout are collected by Paddle, not by us.
4. What stays on your computer, and what you can choose to send us
IEbridge never transmits the addresses of the pages you visit, their content, your cookies or your intranet credentials to any IBRIDGEX server. There is no telemetry and no browsing history on our side. That does not change and you cannot switch it on.
By default your URL rules, document modes, toolbar preferences and imported or exported settings are stored locally by the extension, and synchronised through your own browser profile if you have browser sync enabled. In that default state they are not sent to us.
The exception is Sync Options, an optional feature for organisations. If someone with access to your licence panel creates a configuration profile, that profile is stored on our servers so it can be delivered to the devices on the licence. A profile contains the options it sets, the Internet Explorer mode URL patterns you add to it, and the list of devices it applies to. Those URL patterns typically name your own internal sites, so treat them as you would any other configuration you upload. This only ever happens because someone chose to create a profile: we do not collect settings from devices. Turning Sync Options off stops the profile being served, and deleting a profile removes it.
5. Who processes data on our behalf
- Paddle.com Market Ltd — our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes the payment and your billing data under its own privacy policy, and passes us your email address and the order status.
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting of the website and of the licence service, and protection against abuse.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email (licence keys, recovery codes, expiry notices).
These providers may process data outside your country. Transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards offered by each provider.
6. Cookies
This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The licence panel at ibridgex.net/mi-licencia sets one strictly necessary session cookie, which expires after 20 minutes of inactivity and when you close the tab. Your chosen interface language is stored in your browser, not on our servers.
7. How long we keep it
- Licence and activation records: while the licence is active, and up to 24 months afterwards, so an expired licence can be recovered or renewed.
- Trial records: up to 24 months from the start of the trial, to prevent repeated trials on the same device.
- Configuration profiles: until you delete them, and in any case they are deleted together with the licence they belong to.
- Support email: up to 24 months after the conversation ends.
- Rate-limiting records: minutes to hours.
- Invoices and tax records are kept by Paddle for the period its own obligations require.
8. Your rights
You may request access to your data, its correction, its deletion, a portable copy, or restriction of or objection to its processing. Write to [email protected] from the address linked to your licence and we will reply within 30 days. You may release your own devices at any time from ibridgex.net/mi-licencia without contacting us. Deleting the data attached to an active licence ends the licence, since it cannot be validated afterwards. If you believe we have mishandled your data you may complain to your national data protection authority.
9. Children
IEbridge is a tool for professional and business use. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Security
All traffic runs over HTTPS. Licence keys are stored hashed, never in clear text, and access to the administration panel is restricted and session-limited.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version, and material changes are announced by email to holders of an active licence.
